Abstract (EN)

The aim of the study; To evaluate the fear of physical activity and depression in people who have had COVID-19, to examine whether there is a difference between hospitalized and non-hospitalized. 115 volunteers (mean age: 31±9) who had no mental problems and recovered from COVID-19 between the ages of 18-65 participated in the study. The TKÖ Kinesophobia Scale (TKS) was used to evaluate the fear of physical activity, and the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS) to evaluate depression and anxiety. The average TKS score of all individuals was above normal (41±5). The fear of physical activity (43±4) in the patients receiving medication at the hospital was higher than the patients receiving medication at home (40±5) (p <0.05). According to the HADS results, the depression and anxiety average of all individuals was above 7 which is considered normal (7.4 and 9.5 respectively). Depression and anxiety values of hospitalized individuals were higher than those who were treated at home. A positive correlation was found between the TKS score and both depression (r = 0.262; p <0.01) and anxiety levels (r = 0.390; p <0.01) in all patients, and according to the correlation coefficients, the relationship between anxiety and TKS was higher than depression. As a result; In COVID-19 cases, it was found that kinesiophobia, depression and anxiety occurred, these variables were seen at higher levels in hospitalized individuals, and there was a positive relationship between fear of physical activity and depression and anxiety.
