Abstract (EN)

The aim of the study is to determine the effect of fear of Covid-19 on work performance in healthcare workers and to determine the mediating role of organizational commitment in this relationship. Within the scope of the research, demographic information was obtained for the descriptive characteristics of the participants, after that, the Covid-19 fear scale, organizational commitment scale. Finally, in measuring the work performance of the employees; The job performance scale used. The data used in the study were obtained from 409 health workers working in the province of Tokat via conducting an online survey by google forms.The data were analyzed with SPSS 25 package program and SPSS Process 2.16 macro. After the reliability analysis of the data collected via the programs was performed, detailed analyzes were made with descriptive statistics, explanatory factor analysis, correlation analysis and 4th model mediation analysis methods. Research results; demonstrated that healthcare workers have a low fear of Covid-19, a moderate level of organizational commitment, and a high level of job performance. It has been found that the health workers' fear levels due to Covid-19 reduce their job performance levels by (coefficient=0,1701) and the level of fear due to Covid-19 in question by the mediation effect of organizational commitment to (coefficient=0,1026).
