Abstract (EN)

This respiratory disease, which emerged in Wuhan, China in December 2019 and caused by a new virus, has affected our lives in every sense. The World Health Organization (WHO) declared the Covid-19 epidemic as a global epidemic in March 2020 due to the worldwide incidence of cases, the severity and speed of the virus's spread. Various treatment methods have been developed against this virus, which has continued since 2019 and has undergone various mutations. In recent years, new industrial applications and developments in ozone technology have emerged worldwide. The disinfecting feature and immune system strengthening effect of ozone against viruses, bacteria and fungi is not to be underestimated. Considering that it has very low side effects compared to other treatment methods and has a low cost production process, it will be appropriate to use in the treatment process of diseases and disinfection of the environment. However, there is a need for further investigation of the effects of ozone against the Covid-19 virus, both in terms of determining the optimal use doses and conducting the necessary clinical studies, and in terms of Occupational Health and Safety. In this study, it is aimed to examine the relationship between Covid-19 and Ozone in terms of Occupational Health and Safety, and it has been tried to evaluate the use of ozone in terms of the purpose of use, the way of use, employers and employees within the scope of combating covid-19 in workplaces.
