Abstract (EN)
In this study, it was aimed to determine the opinions of classroom teachers and parents on both the elapsed time and their preparation for the second grade regarding the students who enrolled in primary school in the 2019-2020 academic year, completed the literacy process with distance education with the Covid-19 epidemic period that started in March 2020, and then started the second grade. is intended. The model of the research that adopts the qualitative research approach is the case study. Within the scope of the purpose of the study, the opinions of the classroom teachers and parents selected by criterion sampling method, one of the purposeful sampling methods, were obtained on a voluntary basis. The participants of the research are primary school teachers working in the second grades in the 2020-2021 academic year in the city center of Kayseri and having trained with the same class in the previous term and the parents of these teachers. A semi-structured interview form was used as a data collection tool. The collected data were analyzed by content analysis method. As a result of the research, it was determined that teachers tried to benefit from homework assignment and teacher-parent cooperation when distance education was switched during the Covid-19 pandemic process. According to the teachers, it was concluded that distance education is insufficient for the acquisition of writing skills and the social development of students. It has been observed that teachers offer solutions in the form of face-to-face and distance education should continue together. While it is seen that parents try to benefit from EBA and parent-teacher cooperation when distance education is switched to during the Covid-19 pandemic process, their suggestions for distance education are to continue distance education during the pandemic process, but to enrich distance education content. It has been suggested that teachers, students and parents can be provided with psychological support in this regard, in-service training can be given to teachers on distance education, technologies and activities, and technological infrastructure and equipment can be provided in order to conduct education in a healthier way during the Covid-19 pandemic process.
