Abstract (EN)
This research has been prepared to reveal the difficulties experienced by vocational and technical education institutions during the pandemic process. Case study, one of the qualitative research methods, was used in the research. The study group was determined by using maximum variation sampling, one of the purposive sampling methods. The study group of the research consists of 9 teachers, 5 Culture Courses and 4 Vocational Courses, working in a secondary education institution providing vocational and technical education in the central district of Gaziantep in the 2020-2021 academic year. Semi-structured interview form and personal information form were used as data collection tools. According to the research findings, it has been determined that distance education is insufficient in the teaching of skill-based courses, and most of the students do not attend distance education courses. In addition to student-related problems, it has been concluded that teacher and parent-related problems negatively affect the education process. It has been determined that parent-related problems are mainly related to the fact that parents are not included in the education system. It has been observed that teacher-related problems are associated with low readiness, fear, anxiety and inexperience due to the pandemic process. According to the results of the research, it was concluded that the development of the infrastructure and content of the distance education systems, including the EBA application, and the investments for the inclusion of each student in the distance education process will improve the distance education system.
