Özet (EN)

The main purpose of this study was to explore the relationships between intolerance of uncertainty, anxiety and depression levels in teachers during the Covid-19 pandemic period. İn addition, in the study, whether or not the variables of intolerance of uncertainty, anxiety and depression differed according to sociodemographic variables and variables related to the pandemic was examined. Determined by convenience sampling method, the study group included 419 teachers who were working in primary, secondary and high schools in the central districts of Adana province. Among these teachers, 241 female and 178 male teachers. In the study, as data collection tools, Intolerance of Uncertainty Scale, Beck Anxiety Scale and Beck Depression Scale. Also, The Personal Information Form developed by the researcher was used to collect personel information. In data analysis, Social Sciences Statistical program was used depending on the variables, number, percentage, independent samples t-test, One Way Variance (ANOVA) and multiple regression analysis technique were performed. As a result of the study, a low level and positive relationship was found between teachers' intolerance of uncertainty and depression levels. At the same time, it was found that teachers' intolerance levels of uncertainty predicted depression significantly, and as their intolerance to uncertainty levels increased, their depression levels also increased. When the Intolerance of Uncertainty Scale is examined in terms of sub-dimensions, it is seen that inhibitory anxiety is a significant predictor of depression; It was found that prospective anxiety did not have a significant effect on depression. In addition, although there is a low level and positive relationship between teachers' intolerance of uncertainty and their anxiety levels, according to the regression results, intolerance to uncertainty does not predict anxiety at a significant level. Keywords: covıd-19, intolerance of uncertainty, anxiety, depression.
