Abstract (EN)
In this study, the problems experienced by women working remotely during the Covid-19 pandemic process were identified and solution suggestions were presented. The aim of the research is to reveal whether the marital status and motherhood of women make a difference between the problems they experience in the remote working process, and if so, what kind of differences there are and to contribute to the literature. The thesis consists of four chapters. In the first and second parts of the thesis, a literature review was conducted and information about epidemics and pandemic periods was given in the first part. In the second part of the thesis, the concepts of remote working were discussed, and at the same time, the advantages and disadvantages of remote working during the Covid-19 period, which constitutes the main subject of the thesis, and its evaluation on women were evaluated. The third part of the thesis includes surveys and interviews. This study was conducted with a survey technique with 70 women working remotely in a call center in Istanbul province and these data were analyzed with SPSS 25.0 program. Interviews were also conducted with 3 mothers and the interviews were analyzed with MAXQDA program. With the interviews conducted in the study, this study was both quantitative and qualitative. Our study is a mixed method due to this combination. As a result of the research, both the positive and negative aspects of remote working, which is a new way of working, were discussed. Based on the experiences of women working remotely in this process, the problems they have experienced have been identified and solution suggestions have been presented.
