Özet (EN)

In our study, the views and usage trends of healthcare professionals about vitamins and food supplements during the Covid-19 pandemic were investigated. Within the scope of the study, a questionnaire consisting of 29 questions about vitamins and food supplement products used during the pandemic was applied online to 161 doctors and nurses working in ZBEÜN. According to the data obtained from our study, the age of the participants who were infected by Covid-19 was found to be significantly higher than those who did not. The average age of those who think vitamins and food supplements are protective and use them, was found to be higher than those who say that they are protective but do not use them. It has been observed that female participants who use these products both for themselves and their family members think that these products are protective and they prefer to use them. It has been found that those with an income of 5000 TL and below have a high rate of thinking that the prices of these products have increased during the Covid-19 pandemic. It has been determined that those with chronic diseases use these products regularly compared to those who do not. While the most preferred products were vitamin D, multivitamins, linden tea and omega 3 fish oil preparations, respectively, before the pandemic, this order changed to vitamin D, multivitamins, vitamin C and linden during the pandemic process. It has been observed that the use of vitamin C among healthcare workers has increased with the pandemic. As a result, the pandemic has affected the product preferences of individuals and the use of vitamins and food supplements has increased.
