Abstract (EN)
The main purpose of this thesis is to calculate the CO2 emission values of the vehicles in Eskişehir and the vehicles of Eskişehir Tepebaşı Municipality in the period from the date the Paris Agreement was accepted to the present, to examine the effect of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) on the change in emission values and to analyze the carbon dioxide emissions. Contributing to the completion of missing data for Eskişehir province in the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP). For this purpose, fuel consumption data of vehicles in Eskişehir and vehicles belonging to Eskişehir Tepebaşı Municipality were used according to years and months. The highest CO2 emission amount in Eskişehir between 2010-2021 was calculated as 1406.53 gigagram (Gg) CO2 in 2017. The CO2 emission value originating from the vehicles of Eskişehir Tepebaşı Municipality in 2016- 2022 was calculated as 2.88 Gg CO2 in 2021 as the highest value. According to the monthly calculated emission values, it has been observed that the values increase in Eskişehir generally in July, and in municipal vehicles in September-October. When the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on CO2 emissions is evaluated, it was observed that both Eskişehir and Tepebaşı emission values decreased in April 2020, when mobility was completely restricted. In addition to these, Tepebaşı Municipality's progress in the 2030 CO2 emission reduction target determined by the municipality for itself has been examined and it has been observed that there is an increase in CO2 emissions every year.
