Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to examine the ways in which women use their domestic labor according to different family types under pandemic conditions. With the COVID-19 pandemic, a flexible working system was introduced at workplaces, schools, one of the social institutions, were closed, and students' education continued online from home. It is an undeniable fact that this situation also increases the domestic labor of women or housewives working for wages. It is thought that the domestic labor burden of women increases due to the fact that households are usually at home during the pandemic process. In addition to cleaning the house, taking care of the children, cooking, activities carried out with the cooperation of the school-family to ensure that children are less affected by the negative psychological effects of the pandemic, monitoring and supporting the education of children are included among the domestic duties of women . With the transition of wage-working women to remote working with the flexible working system, the care and education of children at home has been added to the responsibilities of the union workplace. This work; It was structured using feminist methodology, one of the qualitative research methods. In this context, from wage earners and housewives residing in Denizli and Aydın; Eighteen women living in nuclear and single-parent families were interviewed. As a result of the negotiations; In the pandemic process, it has been concluded that women take more responsibility and spend more effort than men within the scope of cleaning work, kitchen work, care work and children's education. Keywords :Pandemic, Family, Patriarchy, Domestic female labor
