Abstract (EN)
In this study, it is aimed to question the changes in the nutritional habits of health workers during the COVID-19 period. The study group of this cross-sectional study consists of 200 healthcare professionals working at Mustafakemalpaşa State Hospital in Bursa Province. Questionnaire method consisting of four parts was used as a data collection tool in the research. Height fixed height meter; waist circumference, body weight, BMI, fat ratio and fluid ratio measurements were taken with the TanitaMC-780MA device. İnfection rate amongthe healthcare workers has reaches 30% and 78.6% of them had mildly recovered from the disease. During the epidemic, 42% of the participants stated that their body weight increased, 21.5% decreased, 36.5% did not change. Those who stated that they used more hand washing / antiseptic due to COVID-19 than usual were 88.5%, the rate of those who avoided domestic travel was 52%, the rate of those who stated that they used more cleaning / disinfectants at home than usual, and the rate of those who disinfected or stocked food was 40.5%. It is thought that the COVID-19 pandemic affects the nutritional habits of healthcare workers and leads them to healthy nutrition as a nutritional awareness, but their nutritional habits is adversely affected due to intense working conditions, the feeling of insecurity against COVID-19 and stress.
