Effect of COVID-19 pandemic on the state budget in Turkey

The Covid-19 Pandemic, which occurred in Wuhan, China and spread throughout the world in a short time, occurred as a respiratory illness and caused countless deaths in many countries. Although the center of the virus is China, it is one of the least affected countries. The rate of impact has been high because it is a country like Turkey, which has infrastructure problems and has been struggling within flation from the earliest periods of its history to the present day. The fact that he devastating effects of the pandemic are not only in the health sector, makes it difficult to restore this situation to its former order. While comparisons of the situation before the pandemic were based on different event saffecting the areas, especially in the economy and other sectors, for now the Covid-19 Pandemic is included under the same heading for all sector sand creates a distinction between pre-and post-pandemic. The study generally covers the period between 2019, which was the pre-pandemic period, and 2022, when we started to return to the old order with the lifting of pandemic restrictions. As a result, high rates of public expenditures were observed between these periods. Inflation and unemployment occurred. The Covid-19 pandemic is global, but it has not affected other countries to the same extent. For this reason, it would not be right to attribute the economic crisis experienced in Turkey only to the existence of the pandemic.
