Abstract (EN)
The Covid-19 virus first appeared in Wuhan, China, in 2019. The first case was seen in Turkey on March 11, 2020, and after the rapid spread of infection cases, a pandemic was declared worldwide by the World Health Organization (WHO). While the Covid-19 pandemic has negatively affected the global economy, production and consumption activities have been limited around the world. Considered in this context, the tourism sector is one of the sectors negatively affected by the pandemic. The tourism sector is affected by crises faster than other sectors. Affected tourism movements have also revealed different tourism behaviors. In this study, a case study was conducted on the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic crisis, which caused global damage with its social, psychological and economic effects, on the tourism sector and the changing travel habits that accompanied these effects. This research focused on two main groups of participants: those working in the tourism industry and tourists. Specially designed semi-structured interview forms were used to collect data in the research. In the study, the experiences of the participants during the pandemic process and the effects of this process on their work or holiday habits were taken into account. The findings obtained were interpreted with descriptive analysis and tables were created within the framework of the answers given. To summarize the findings from the study, the Covid-19 pandemic has led tourists to prefer calmer and nature-friendly destinations and to seek hygiene and a healthy life. The increase in individual holiday preferences has increased the interest in economical and natureintegrated holiday options. The pandemic has increased awareness on hygiene, health and sustainability issues, which has shown the necessity of the tourism sector to achieve a healthier and more sustainable structure in the future. Tourists' accommodation, food, travel planning and destination preferences have changed; Crowded activities were avoided and the tendency towards hygienic, individual holiday options increased. During the pandemic, tourists' expectations for hygiene and health safety have increased, which shows that tourism businesses need to personalize their services, raise hygiene standards and invest in economical holiday options integrated with nature.
