Examination of postpartum health problems during COVİD pandemic period

Abstract (EN)
The research, during the current Covid pandemic period; The aim of this study was to examine the health problems, breastfeeding attitude, postpartum specific anxiety and maternal functions in postpartum mothers who had or did not have Covid-19 infection in the last trimester of pregnancy, who gave birth at term, whose baby's height and weight were within normal limits, who were discharged within the normal discharge period. The population of the study consisted of postpartum mothers followed in Çankırı State Hospital and primary health care services affiliated to Çankırı Provincial Health Directorate (N:1200). The sample consisted of mothers who met the criteria for inclusion in the study (n:168). Data in the research; Maternal Diagnosis Form, Postpartum Physical Problems Determination Form, Breastfeeding Attitude Assessment Scale, Postpartum Specific Anxiety Scale and Barkin Maternal Function Scale were collected. In the evaluation of the data; Percentage and standard deviation calculations were made, and the Shapiro-Wilk test was applied to test whether the data provided the normality assumption. Chi-Square test was used to compare categorical independent variables. As a result of the research; It was determined that there was a statistically significant relationship between postpartum health problems of mothers who had and did not have Covid-19 infection (p<0.05). However, it was determined that breastfeeding attitudes, postpartum anxiety levels and maternal functions of mothers who had and did not have the infection during the Covid pandemic period did not differ (p>0.05).
