Abstract (EN)

This study aimed to identify the availability of the requirements for the introduction of Six Sigma and identify the critical success factors and obstacles that faced Six Sigma implementation in carpet industry companies operating in the province of Gaziantep / Turkey. Survey data are collected from 108 companies were selected randomly. The study adopted a descriptive analytical method and the statistical analysis program for social studies (SPSS) was used to analyze the data and access the results of the study. The study found a range of results, including: the most requirements for the introduction of Six Sigma was available. The highest requirements of available were top management support and commitment, feedback and measurement, rewards and recognition, continuous improvement and customer focus. Also, the study concluded that the critical factors most significant to the success of Six Sigma results are teamwork, training & education, effective communication, top management support & involvement, change culture and project management skills. Finally, the study pointed out that most of the common obstacles faced by the study sample companies included poor project management, lack of resources and lack of management commitment was the largest obstacles faced.
