Abstract (EN)

Within the scope of this thesis study, within Cu-Mn alloys which have so many application areas especially in recent years, the changes that occur in the structures of alloy as a result of heat treatment was investigated; also the characteristics of crystallographic, kinetic, morphological and electrical resistance were examined by using several physical methods such as SEM, XRD, DSC and 4 Point DC Measurement. As a result of the SEM examinations it was observed that, the grain size of the sample obtained by rapid cooling is much smaller than the slow cooling and there became much more precipitation. As a result of X-ray diffraction examinations, the phase structures of the alloy and the planes giving reflections were determined. In order to determine the thermodynamic parameters and activation energies Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) was used. The measurements were taken from the samples respectively, in the heating rates of 5°C/min, 10°C/min and 15°C/min. The activation energies were calculated by benefiting from the obtained results, the resulting values are differed depending on the heating rate. When considering the electrical resistance of the alloy by benefiting from I-V graphics, it was observed that the cooling difference is slightly increased the resistance. These results were found to be aroused from the precipitate phases that are occurred in the samples, due to the heat treatments applied to the alloy.
