Abstract (EN)

In this study, the thermoluminescence and optical absorption properties both pure and SrTiO3 (100) (STO) single crystals that are implanted with Cu+ and Tb+ ions with energy of 400 keV at 1x1016, 1x1017 ions/cm2 doses are investigated. The effect of annealing at 400-800 oC range on the thermoluminescence and optical absorption properties are also researched.The TL spectra of samples exposed to different doses of X-rays were taken pre and post annealing in the range of 50-400 °C. The dose-dependency of TL spectra is investigated by varying X-ray doses. The TL peaks at unannealing samples are observed for pure and Tb implanted, while TL peaks are not observed for Cu implanted. TL peaks are also observed at 89, 143, 186 oC, while observing the main peak at 258 oC for STO after annealing at 400 oC,. Similar peaks are also observed for Cu and Tb implanted samples.It is considered that this study will make an important impact to the literature since no study is found for thermoluminescence properties of STO single crystal in literature.The band gap energy from optical absorption spectrum of pure STO crystal is measured as 3,23 eV from its optical absorption spectrum. While an absorption peak around 585 nm is emerging for Cu implanted samples, the peak at 500 nm has become more remarkable for Tb implanted samples. These results indicate that the Cu and Tb nanoparticles occurred in SrTiO3 crystals. It has been found that the absorption of samples were changed and disrupted the band edge with the effect of annealing. Moreover, small changes in the energy band ranges of samples with annealing affect were determined.
