Prof. Dr. Vedat PEŞTEMALCI Archeological research for large area is over simplified by application of remote sensing techniques, for determination of archeological remnants and specially mounds. The aim of this work is to determine archeological remnants and mounds by using remote sensing techniques In this thesis, two LANDSAT satellite images of Çukurova region are investigated. First, some archeological remnants are marked on satellite images, then using spectral signature of these data, new remnants have been determined. In Ibis process, some digital image processing and enhancement techniques have been used to extract information from satellite images.
