Abstract (EN)

This study was carried out to reveal the effects of organomineral fertilizers on yield and quality in onion (Allium cepa L.) cultivation in Çukurova region. In the study, different combinations were made with organomineral and mineral fertilizers. For mineral base fertilization, the fertilizers belonging to Toros company, whose content was 15.15.15% Nitrogen-Phosphorus-Potassium, and the content of Hexaferm company for organomineral base fertilizer containing 9.9.9% Nitrogen-Phosphorus-Potassium+20% organic matter were used. For top fertilization, Ormin Gold fertilizer of Organiksa company, which was an organomimeral fertilizer source, contains 15.15.15% Nitrogen-Phosphorus-Potassium+trace elements. Ammonium sulfate ((NH4)2SO4), phosphoric acid (H3PO4) and potassium sulfate (K₂SO₄) were used as mineral top fertilizer sources. In the study, 6 different mineral and organomineral fertilizer combinations were chosen. These were (OMF:OrganoMineralFertilizer MF:MineralFertilizer) 1) Zero fertilizer (no fertilizer), 2) OMF(%0)+MF(%100), OMF(%25)+MF(%75), OMF(%50)+MF(%50), OMF(%75)+MF(%25) ve OMF(%100)+MF(%0). In order to see the effects of organomineral fertilizers, on growth, yield and onion head quality the following measurments and analysis have been done: the longest leaf length, leaf number, plant neck thickness, leaf area, shoot fresh weight were examined. Onion total yield, average onion weight, onion diameter, onion height, onion shape index, L, a, b colors, onion firmness, outer skin peel number, onion fleshy leaf number, fleshy leaf thickness, onion pH, EC, SSC, titratable acidity, total dry matter content, volatile aroma compounds, vitamin C, total phenol, total flavanoid substances, nitrate contents, mineral nutrient contents of onion plant leaf and head. As a result, the application of OMF(%50)+MF(%50), in which organomineral and mineral fertilizers are used in half, has come to the fore in terms of yield and onion quality characteristics. It was found to be more successful than only mineral fertilizer application used as a control.
