Investigation of heavy metal in Akyatan, Tuzla, Çamlık lagoon ( Adana/Turkey) from Çukurova region

The concentrations of heavy metals in samples were determined by using FLAAS and GF AAS after wet digestion method. The results in this study showed that, high accumulation levels of Zn and Cd were detected in seston while Fe and Pb were detected in high levels in sediment and Cu accumulation levels were the highest for benthos samples. In comparison with the standart heavy metal accumulation levels determined by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and FAO, Pb and Zn levels were measured high, Cd levels were on the maximum tolerance limit and Cu levels were under the standart levels.
