Abstract (EN)

In this research conducted in the trial area of Çukurova University Field Crops Department in 2021; It was aimed to determine the effect of different harvest times on yield and quality characteristics of Itır (Pelargonium graveolens). In the research, harvest were made in 3 different periods: before flowering, full flowering and after flowering. According to the data obtained, Pelargonium graveolens plant has the highest plant height (34.3 cm), number of branches (10.10 units), fresh herb yield (716.37 kg/da), dry herb yield (161.3 kg/da), fresh leaf yield (537.4 kg/da). da), dry leaf yield (106.77kg/da) in the post-flowering period. The highest essential oil rate (0.31%) and essential oil yield (11.3 kg/da) were obtained during the full flowering period. The main components of essential oils were identified as geraniol (3.14-18.1%), citronellyl formate (11.8-15.7%), citronellol (27.9-36.5%) and l-menthone (7.49-9.33%).
