The Republican Period Bingöl (1923-1960)

With this study, the city history of Bingöl city which is located in Upper part of Fırat between the 1923 and 1960 was researched. A comprehensive study about Bingöl city hasn't been studied yet, so doing this study has become compulsory. We have to know the roles of natural and anthropic factors in historical process in progress and alteration in order to analyse better the nowadays situations of the cities. In 1936, Bingöl became a province and after that public activities which become compulsory to be done and the process of urbanisation started. In this study, the subject is about the changing and the developing of Bingöl city in recognition of social, politician, governmental, economic and cultural factors. In accordance with this purpose, we utilized from archive forms, formal publishing, periodical publications of the date and investigation works.
