Republican period hadith studies: Prof. Dr. Ali Osman Koçkozu example

With this study the studies in the field of hadith in Republic Period is aimed to be researched in the example of Prof.Dr.Ali Osman Koçkuzu who served in the hadith field for forty two years in Konya Islam Enstitude with is last name Faculty of Theology, went on giving lessons adter his retirement to his death, who is also one of the students of Prof. Dr. Tayyib Okiç, the leader of founding Hadith and Commentary Lecterns in Ankara University Main Islam Sciences Department. This study consists of four parts, in the beginning part a general information is given about the process of hadith science since Hz. Prophet, the education foundations in Ottoman Empire and Konya Hadith Madrasah are memtioned. In the first part, the studies in the field of religion in Turkey are emphasized. In the second part Prof. Dr. Ali Osman Koçkuzu's life,his family,his teachers,students he raised,his colleagues's comsiderations about himself are mentioned. In the third part, Prof. Dr. Ali Osman Koçkuzu's books, articles, symposium announcements, articles he wrote for Turkey Religion Encyclopedia are researched and introduced. In the forth part, the hadith perspective of Prof. Dr. Ali Osman Koçkuzu is mentioned,it is tried to verify his general thought about hadith through his written Works about "Haber-i vahidler (news of unics) and Nasih-Mensuh in Hadith".
