The phenomenon of body in the Republican Period's village novels (Phenomenology)

In this thesis, Body Phenomena in the Village Novels of the Republican Period have been evaluated from different perspectives. The novels examined are Yakup Kadri Karaosmanoğlu's Yaban, Talip Apaydın's Tütün Yorgunu, Refik Erduran's Yağmur Duası, Kemal Tahir's Köyün Kamburu and Sağırdere. The reason for examining these novels in particular is that body phenomena are seen more intensely compared to other village novels. The body phenomena that have taken place in the history of the body from Antiquity to the present are mentioned, and the body appearances of the characters in the aforementioned novels are examined with a phenomenological approach. In this context, the historical course of the body, the changing appearances of the body and the perceptions of the mind-body relationship are included. Since the theory of the thesis is a text-centered approach, only the context in the text was taken into account and the body appearances of the characters were interpreted.
