Abstract (EN)
This study, named ?After Republican Period of Developing Turkish Typography", explained the development of typography starting from discovery of writing to the present. In addition, it is studied adopted and used alphabets by Turks throughout history. Finally, periodicals and publications such as books, magazines and newspapers, in the period from the beginning of Republic until today, were detected to understand the evolution of typography.Looking at the present declaration of the republic, using both Arabic and Latin alphabets in the first published magazines, newspapers and books are helped to understand for everyone and accelerated the process of familiarization. By the effect of western style, characters of different fonts are used on the same page in published the first newspaper, magazines and books. Over time, increasing the diversity of these publications, and with the replication of the chance of selection, typography began to be used more accurately.In this study, the development of typography until today, which is used in published newspapers, magazines and books after the Republican in Turkey, has been evaluated with referring to examples. As a result, in the period of typography?s intended, its spread geographical region?s social, cultural and economic conditions, gives us information about the development of typography.
