Intellectuals in the Republican Turkish novel (1950-1970)

In this study, political, social, cultural and literary expansions and transformations experienced in different ways, published between 1950 and 1970 (including 1950 and 1970) of Turkish intellectuals in the novels, from which aspects and how they were handled were identified and analyzed. The intellectuals analyzed in the novel and the themes to be given by these names were deeply examined by respecting novel analysis techniques.This research has the aim of inspection of the intellectuals who take place in the period novelists Works, have the aim of extension and enrichment , in what extent and in what direction, of the sensation and thought of the society, main subjects and shocks, depressions, problems such as Party of Union and Progress, National Struggle, Ataturk and Reforms, Westernization, Customs, Anatolian, education, religion, Second World War, CHP, DP, public-intellectual relations, doctrins, art/literature, foreignization which are studied in the novel with different attentions and in company with intellectuals. This thesis will be the continuation of the former academic studies which examine the intellectual problem in the Turkish novel before 1950 and the complementary of the next studies.As a result, from a holistic perspective towards the intellectuals examined, Turkish intellectuals, it appears that these names are parallel with distribution on the historical stage and qualifications, missions and problems of The Turkish intellectual.
