Abstract (EN)
Seasons are natural cycles that affect human life. During every season change, one feels obliged to re-establish himself and his life. This is one of the reasons for the diversity of human condition and movement. Summer is the most naive part of this annual cycle; it is the period in which people's worries diminish, go out of their nests and mix with nature. For this reason, behaviors in the summer seem more fun than in other seasons. One of these behaviors is to use the beach effectively. When various conditions came together, people started to use the beaches in groups. The use of the beaches was first related to finding health, and after a while it turned into a fun act. While the meaning of using the beach had changed over time, a certain transformation had been observed in its spatial patterns and instruments. For example, sea cabins or sea baths were used in the course of contact with sea water; over time, the use of these artificial spaces was abandoned. This thesis investigates the period in which the beaches started to be used and questions the meaning of this usage for the Republican period. Tracing this historical act means getting to know people again. Keywords: Summer, Leisure, Working classes, Beaches, Fashion, Health
