For that reason, Southeastern Anatolian Project (GAP), which is one of the largest of its kind, has given life for irrigation and energy production by 1970?s and by 1980?s, it turned into a multi purpose social and economic growth program.GAP, contains Tigris and Euphrates Rivers which are one-third of Türkiye?s water resources and, nine provinces, which produces ten percent of Türkiye?s population. Such a big Project makes our neighbors Syria and Iraq anxious about water usage and a certain number of disagreements come out between Türkiye, Iraq and, Syria. In this study, the condition of water in the world and in our geography was investigated and, than the problems and approaches on water management are exposed. After that, the policies to be carried out are stated and summarized in the end.Key words: Transboundary Waters, Tigris and Euphrates Rivers, Southeastern Anatolian Project (GAP), Water Wars, Water Management.
