Analysis of musical notation books prepared during Republic age in terms of teaching priciples and content

In this research, musical notation boks prepared during republic age were analyzed in terms of teaching of principles and content. This research is a descriptive study that held with qualitative research methods. The four boks analyzed in this study are used in musical notation reading education in music education institutions in our country. Books offer content for the learning of basic music knowledge first in linet to gain targeted education policies. The musical notation reading exercies prepared within this perspective is created in the light of tonal and modal in and / or created with Turkish modal tone sequences. Preffered tone width in musical notation reading exercises, note lenghts, articulation and punctuation marks, keys, metric forms, measure and so all the equipment is used in similar or different ways in the boks examined in the research. As a result of the research, although some basic similarities in teaching principles of the books were observed, there seemed to be some differences in terms of content and teaching principles and those differences were discussed in the research.
