The social-culturallife in Bergama in the first years of the repuplic and Osman Bayatlı

Osman Bayatlı is an author who is renowned for his studies and today has a significant effort in this historical town's improvement particapating in UNESCO World Heritage Ust. My thesis study "Bergama in the first years of the Republic and Osman Bayatlı" has three parts. In the first part, we deal with Osman Bayatlı's family, education, marriage, personality, experience as a teacher, duty in museum management, period of community centre management, Works in kermes, boks and articles. Osman Bayatlı was born in Manisa, Kırkağaç in 1892. He graduated from İzmir Teacher's Training School in 1913. After working as a teacher and manager in various districts, he resigned because he didn't want to leave Bergama and started working in the field of museums. He married Payende Harputlu who was a daughter of a family who was from Bergama. Osman Bayatlı, who loved researching, reading and collecting the information he gained, created a lot of works abautBergama. In the third part, we deal with the activities done by the Bergama public to commemorate him after his death.
