Up Until 1950 from the foundation of the republic the exhibitions and museums connection

N KURULUŞUNDAN 1950?YE SERG LER VE MÜZELERL ŞK STuğba ERZ NCANABSTRACTExhibition tradition in our country had began in Ottoman Empire period, but making thisactivity periodically within certain rules become a reality in Turkish Republic period. Fromfine arts to history, from handicrafts to production, various exhibition activities had beenechoed in social life broadly and attracted attention. The collections obtained from theexhibitions, had been desired to be realized to make museums. There were some of them onlybeen a project of a museum or only mentioned, there were also some of them had been putinto realization as a founded museum. But most of them could not been turn into museum asdesired.In this work, it has been tried to attract attention to the relation between the museums thatfounded / museum projects and the exhibiton activities in early Turkish Republic period. Ithas been drawed a conclusion that although the exhibitions that realized were not in qualityand quantity as desired for, they have been origin of some museum structures.Key Words: Republic, exhibition, museum, museum projects.
