Atatürk's image in the history of revolution from the republic to the present (1943-2017)

In this study; The subject of the image of Atatürk given in the textbooks of the history of revolutions taught in secondary education has been handled within the period since the republic (1943-2017). This work; Introduction, Related Literature (Past and Present of the History of Turkish Revolution and Kemalism from Past to Present, content of this course, Image and Leader Image, Atatürk in general and his images), Method, Findings and Interpretation, The Distribution of Atatürk Images according to the History of Turkish Revolution Textbooks, Conclusion and Suggestions, consists of five parts. In this study; In the post-Atatürk period (1943-2017) in the textbooks of the history of revolution taught in secondary education institutionsThe aim of this course is to reveal the change and transformation from the republic to the present day and the change towards the image of Atatürk.Documentary screening model, which is one of the qualitative research methods, was used in the examination of the textbooks. Data were collected by using document analysis and descriptive analysis techniques.In the findings section, the 11 images examined (love of country and nation, idealism, leadership, farsightedness, creative thinking, logical and realistic, merge and integration, stability, independence, nationalism, reformism) distribution and image changes between periods were examined.In the conclusion part; the findings were interpreted.
