Abstract (EN)

In this study, TRD was applied to M2 high speed tool steels and in TRD process; The effects of bath components, mixing and bath preparation on the thickness of the coating were investigated. With the studies performed, the parameters affecting the coating except time, temperature and substrate material were determined and investigated. The effect of mixing on the thickness of the coating was investigated, although homogeneity of the liquid bath increased with the mixing process, decrease in the coating thickness was observed. Ferrovanadium has have gave better result than vanadium oxide as a source of carbide in the liquid bath. The effect of ferrovanadium particle size was investigated and thicker coatings were obtained in the liquid baths with fine particle size. The effect of reduce agent, the other bath component, was investigated and the best results were obtained with aluminum.
