Abstract (EN)
Titled as "Interpretation of the Mountain Image Through Plastic Literature", the subject of this thesis is; in the light of art-natural environment relationship, and grounding on painting works created through examination of the natural structure of the mountain, creating a pictorial language based on several natural forms that have a geometric structure, most of which belong to the local that is lived in. In this respect, the importance of the art-natural environment relationship - the focus of this thesis- for painting art and the question of how natural environment is reflected in art works throughout the history are studied via literature review. How the natural environment, especially the mountain image –as subject of this thesis- has started to affect the painting art and the way it has been reflected are researched and analyzed. Also, by looking into the influence of the nature, especially of the mountain on human being, the interaction between the terms of human, art, and nature is placed stress on. The artistic process experienced by some artists while creating their authentic compositions as a result of the interaction between these terms is studied. Having all these analyzed, it is inferred that the art works created under influence of the dominant natural forms of the local bear the traces of the art-natural environment interaction, which is a result of the human-natural environment relationship. As part of the thesis, the compilations obtained by the literature search method and a series of painting applications with the effect of the region have been discussed through synthesis. The mountain image observed through biological process and geometrically structured land forms that are encountered in the natural environment were the starting point of the painting works. The pictorial works, some of which were only technical research, were limited to 25 paintings. This study is analyzed under 3 main headings; "Art and Environment Relationship", "Mountain Image in the Painting Art", and "Works and Their Analyses" Prepared as a result of a series of research work, this thesis might as well be a proof of the aesthetic process that art works –created via primarily the effect of the Local lived in and via an interaction between human, art, and natural environment which was the focus of all research endeavor- go through. Out of the paintings that were worked on here an authentic plastic language is strived to be derived.
