Nagorno Karabakh problem

In the 18th century, as a result of the immigration policies that the Russians followed along with the domination of the South Caucasus region, the Russians changed the ethnic structure of the Karabakh region in favor of the Armenians. The Armenians have begun to implement the "Great Armenia without Turks" policy in order to regulate the demographic structure of the region in its own favor. With these policies, the Armenians have stated that in August 1987, Nagorno-Karabakh, an autonomous region affiliated to the Soviet Socialist Republic of Azerbaijan, should be tied to them with the claim that the majority of the population constituted the Armenians. In July 1998, the declaration that the Upper Karabakh Armenians were officially linked to Armenia as an autonomous region and the decision of the Armenian Parliament to join the Upper Garabagh region on December 1, 1989 led to a war in the region and even led to a massacre like Hocalı. The Armenian Parliament has violated Article 78 of the Soviet Constitution and has carried out an invasion contrary to international law with this one-sided decision taken without the approval of Azerbaijan. According to international law, the Nagorno-Karabakh region has been considered to be part of the Republic of Azerbaijan by decisions of the United Nations Security Council. It is stated that NagornoKarabakh is under Azerbaijani rule in these resolutions. The occupation of this territory belonging to Azerbaijan by the Armenians, the failure of the Armenians to make the decisions taken by the international organizations, and the occupation of Azerbaijani territories continue, a positive development does not appear in the solution of the problem.
