Abstract (EN)

Due to the increase in the load on the installed power transmission lines, the technical losses on the lines start to increase over time and this leads to voltage drops. As a result of this, the constant voltage level required by the end user cannot be provided and various problems are experienced. In such cases, solutions such as renewing the power line, installing an additional line or using a voltage regulator are applied. Within the scope of this thesis, solution proposals for the voltage drop problem occurred in the electricity distribution line between Erdek/Narlı-Marmara Island - Saraylar in Balıkesir province, and these proposals were examined in terms of cost and convenience. With the measurements taken from the system, the Matlab/Simulink model of the system was created and these values were obtained in the simulation environment and the accuracy of the model was demonstrated. Afterwards, a voltage regulator was placed in the Saraylar Kök-1 cell, which has the highest voltage drop in the system model, and the voltage increase in the load voltage was provided by means of the regulator. In addition, the scenarios for the renewal of the submarine line, overhead line and submarine line with overhead line in the system were also examined. As a result of the scenarios examined, it has been revealed that the most effective method for the solution of the voltage drop problem in the Saraylar region on the line is the use of medium voltage regulator.
