Abstract (EN)

In this study, information had been given about the types of microstrip antennas, feeding techniques and analysis methods used widely in the field of communication, specially aimed to analyze the diversity gain in the antenna arrays constituted using circular micro strip antennas with different transmission modes. In this thesis dealt with, power correlation values are analyzed between antenna elements for different transmission modes at circular micro strip patch antenna arrays. Spectral efficiency calculations had been done for used antenna arrays and analyzed spectral efficiency for different transmission modes against to mean azimuth angle and angular spread. After that, using the acquired channel models and correlation calculations, diversity performance in the receive direction had been examined for the devised circular microstrip patch antennas. In the analyzing of the diversity performance, BPSK modulated signal sequence had been applied to the channel and BER analysis had been performed for different antenna arrays and transmission modes in the receive direction using maximum ratio combining, equal gain combining and selection combining. MATLAB program had been used for simulations.
