Abstract (EN)

The epic work of Danişmend Gazi, who found fame in the conquests against Byzantium in Cental Anatolia in the XI. Century and established a state named him in this region is called Danişmendnâme. Dânişmendnâme, one of the epics about the Turkish conquest of Anatolia, is one of the important sources that should be emphasized in terms of shedding light on Turkish culture and civilization. In this thesis, We will mainly examine the religious motives and religious attitudes of the main subject of the study and the main character Dânişmend Gazi and the state he founded in Anatolia. Therewithal, It will also provide an explanation of the issues associated with it to better understand the main topic of the study.
