Davut Sulari and the place of him poetry tradition

This study, related to the life, art and works of Âşık Davut Sularûconsists of four parts.In the introduction part, the history, geography and cultural features ofErzincan are assessed and some information about the features of Erzincan?saccent is given.In the first part of the study, from the beginning to the end of his life isstudied.In the second part after viewing general information about aşık traditionin the Turkish literature, Âşık Davut Sularû? s situation in this kind of literatureis evaluated.In the third part; the features of Âşık Davut Sularû?s language style thathe used in his ballads and poems are explained.In the fourth and the last part of the study you can find his well-knownpoems and 148 new poems which are unknown by the researchers. Thesepoems are presented according to the rhythm measure of syllabel and the lastletter of the last line of the first verse. Moreover, numbers are given to eachpoem and each stanza. The examples used in this study have numbers in theparenthesis on their right. So statistical method was used in the study.A dictionary part is formed for the words which need explanation andused in the poemsThe sources used in this study are given in the bibliography part in analphabetical sequence.At the end of this study, the ballads of Âşık Davut Sularû which areaccepted and used by the TRT, the pictures of Âşık Davut Sularû and histomb in Çayırlı, Erzincan take place.
