Effects of sublethal DDVP (dichlorvos) concentrations on protein, lipid and carbohydrate levels of Galleria mellonella L.

In this study, the effects of different DDVP (Dichlorvos) concentrations (2.00, 4.00, 6.00 and 8.00 µl/100 g diet) on total protein, lipid and carbohydrate amounts of Galleria mellonella were investigated.The percentage of protein of insect which was fed 4.00, 6.00, 8.00 µl/100 g DDVP, was significantly increased, individually protein amount of insect which was fed 4.00 and 6.00 µl/100 g DDVP was significantly increased compare to control group.4.00 and 6.00 µl/100g DDVP caused a significantly decrease of percentage lipid of Galleria mellonella, also individually lipid amount decrease in all groups compare to control.Carbohydrate amount was increased of both of percentage and individually. Percentage carbohydrate increased in insects which were fed 4.00 and 8.00 µl/100 g DDVP, while individually carbohydrate was increased in highest (8.00 µl/100 g) DDVP concentration compares to control.
