Color and number images of culture and belief in dada Gorgud stories and Grimm tales

People who live in different parts of the world having different beliefs and thought systems and having some difficulties to gain insights about each and each other's lives, associate with the world that they don't know and live personally with the help of the written works. Including all material and spiritual features, culture which is generated in a historical process by the community and passed down from generation to generation, maintain its existence in other times with literature in an obvious and certain way.In this study, comparative literature, the backbone of the research subject, will be the basis of our research with the way that is mentioned. The purpose of this study is to seek answers for that however different times, regions, beliefs, values, judgments and experiences one has, in the common ground of being a human or without being aware of this ground whether the points taking part in a specific experience are the common payoffs. If they are, we look an answer on which background they base, whether they still exist or not, and how many of them come down today. Therefore, it is aimed to prove to the people who forget for different reasons that s/he is essentially the same with one another, not so different from each other.The works which we have chose in line with this purpose are Dada Gorgud Stories constituting one of the best expressions of milestones of Turkish culture and Grimm Tales gathered by Grimm Brothers who bear the beliefs, lifestyles, and thought system of a totally different culture. We believe that the works which reflect a very long period of time as objective and direct as possible, shed a tiny bit of light on the questions about which we are seeking for answer. It is doubtless that there is a good deal of cultural elements.The purpose of this study is to search color and number imagery of the chosen works, explore common direction and grounds if available, if it is not, it is aimed to find the initial point of differentiation and determine the direction.Keywords: Color, Number, Cultur, İmage, Dada Gorgud Stories, Grimm Tales
