Abstract (EN)
Dede Korkut Stories is one of the works that are frequently used for language studies in terms of reflecting the language features of Old Anatolian Turkish and for literature studies in terms of content. The fact that the work was not examined in terms of derivational suffixes was the determining factor in the selection of the study subject. Linguistic studies present an opinion that classification of Turkish suffixes is identified as derivational suffixes and inflectional suffix, but this opinion also contains some problems. The aim of this study is to present a function-based derivational suffix classification by determining Derivational Suffixes in Dede Korkut Stories. Therefore, this study stated the explanations about the derivational suffix in current linguistic studies, and duty of derivational suffix and its place among the Turkish suffixes respectively. In the introductory section, the derivational suffix samples from Dede Korkut Stories identified by the plug-in method is listed in terms of their functions. Afterward, the shapes of derivational suffix are examined and listed in terms of suffixation. In the conclusion section, it is stated what kind of features the derivational suffixes in the story have in terms of functions and shapes, and the relationship of these suffixes with the content of the story. In the Suffixes Index, the figures that undertake the derivational morpheme are given in alphabetical order. In the Appendix section, the words with a new meaning by taking the derivational morphemes are listed in alphabetical order and given their meaning.
