Abstract (EN)
This study focuses on determining the effect of gossip on organizational trust in hotel businesses. In the study, quantitative research methods such as relational and descriptive scanning methods were used. The research universe consists of tourism operation certificated hotel businesses operating in Kütahya. The research data was collected by a survey conducted on 205 participants working in hotel businesses between 15.11.2024 and 15.01.2025. Descriptive statistics, factor analysis, correlation and regression analysis were used in the analysis of the data. The analysis of the data revealed that gossip has a significant negative impact on trust in the organization, trust in managers, and trust in coworkers. In addition, it was found that the individual benefits of gossip have a significant positive impact on trust in coworkers and trust in the organization.
