Abstract (EN)
The main purpose of thisrese arch is to exam in the selected works of Aytül Akal from the point of values education. Theaim of this study is to determine which boks are chosen with in the root values of justice, friendship, honesty, self-control, patience, love, responsibility, patriotism. The boks examined in theresearchrespectively, My Son was a Child, My daughterwas a Child, My daughter is Nerin?, My son is Nerin? Super Journalistsare 1-2-3-4, Why My Mother is Crazy?,Skeleton 1 in LostBookcase, Ghost of Red Car, MysteriousSmoke, Skeleton in Lost Library 2-Living Dead, Zombie Mombili Novel, Abur Cubur Monster. Theage of the audience (9-13) wastakeninto consideration in the selection of these books. In this study, document analysismethodwhich is one of thequalitativeresearchmethods is used.Whilecollectingdata in thestudy, thesectionsrelatedtothevaluestatementsandvalues education in thecurriculumrenewalstudypublishedbythe Board of Educationhavebeentaken as basis. Content analysiswasusedtoanalyzethedata. In the study, it was found out how often the values expressed in the boks examined and how they contributed to thev alueteaching. In the boks examined with in the frame work of rootvalues, it is seen that statements about all valuesare in cluded.The attitude of givingimp ortance to family unity based on love is included in all books.Justice is the least commonvalue.
