Review of the Diyanet Children's Journal in terms of values education

In this thesis study, the role of Diyanet Children's Magazine in terms of values education was examined. In this context, it is aimed to reveal how often items related to the "ten root values" are included in the relevant magazine, which method is preferred and processed, its contribution to achieving the goals, and the adequacy of exercise activities such as puzzles and riddles. Document analysis model, one of the qualitative research methods, was preferred in the study. The data obtained with the descriptive content analysis method was organized and then interpreted. The study carried out consists of five parts. In the first section, information about the research topic is given. In the second chapter, a general framework for the concept of value was created by scanning the relevant literature. Within the framework of the concept of value, the necessity of values education has been tried to be revealed. In the third chapter, information about the method preferred in the research is given and the boundaries of the research are drawn. In the fourth chapter, the success of the magazine in question in processing the "ten root values" is discussed. It was determined how often the relevant values were included and which method was preferred to process the values. In addition, considering the developmental periods of the readership addressed by the relevant magazine, it has been revealed which methods were used to process the "ten root values". As a result of the research, it was determined that the "ten root values" were discussed in Diyanet Children's Magazine by choosing a direct and indirect style of expression. In this regard, the research was completed by giving suggestions regarding the research in the results and suggestions section.
