Abstract (EN)

Values are the elements that hold society together and that are passed from generation to generation by people. These values change from society to society and are forgotten or survive over time. Values that are a big factor in ensuring unity and continuity of society, are epmhasized sometimes directly and sometimes through adumbration in literary works that are one of the ways to express thoughts and feelings and have an educational feature. Sevinç Çokum, a contemporary women of letters , deal extensively with prominent or approved values of society in her works. In this study, we made an assessment trying to determine values-education related themes in boks of Sevinç Çokum who is one of the most important writers of contemporary Turkish Literature.The study was completed in three sections. In the first part of this study, aim and method of study are examined.In the second part of study, life, art, and works of Sevinç Çokum were examined.Works were briefly mentioned.After explaining concepts such as education and values education in the third chapter titled values education in Sevinç Çokum?s stories, themes, concerning the education of the values,determined in Sevinç Çokum?s stories , were classified according to their subjects as moral, social, religious-mystical and values education, and culture were examined according to this classification.In the final part of our study, findings were concluded and assessed,and depending on themes related to values education included in Sevinç Çokum?s story books, the suggested human model was presented.The study was completed with a bibliography section.Bibliography section was classified under Sevinç Çokum?s self-writings , writings about her and other headings.
