Abstract (EN)

This research was conducted to examine the secondary school (5th-8th grades) music course curriculum in terms of values education. The aim of the research is to examine the secondary school music course curriculum in terms of values education and to examine the effects of these values on the program. When the music course curriculum is examined, it is seen that the root values are justice, friendship, honesty, self-control, patience, respect, love, responsibility, patriotism and helpfulness. The research is important in transferring these values to individuals through the achievements in the music curriculum. The research was determined as a case study, one of the qualitative research designs. The situation examined in this research is the examination of the secondary school music course curriculum in terms of values education. In this regard, the root values in the secondary school music curriculum were evaluated in terms of values education, questioned qualitatively and examined in depth. The method of data collection generally used in these studies is interviews. In addition, answers to the main problem and sub-problems of the research were sought. In the research, teachers' opinions were consulted in order to examine the music curriculum, the achievements of the program and the 10 root values in the program. Teacher opinions were determined with a semi-structured interview form. The data obtained from the interviews were evaluated with content analysis. Various suggestions and comments were made for the study in line with the findings obtained at the end of the research.
