The effect of culture of fear on values education

The role of the education system is great in assimilating the values that take important place in the countries? culture and lives at the institution and individual level and keeping them alive by transferring to the new generations.Teaching values to the children and youths at schools is very important for generating a healthy society.The events that often happen all over the world and spoil the social peace and confidence climate and disturb the social conscience have revealed the importance of values education and given way to preparing and applying values education in a programme framework. As being the power which directs the people?s behaviours, values and fears interact with each other.In this research in order to determine the effects of fear culture on the Values Education, the relationship between the Values Education and Culture of Fear has been studied within the scope of available resources. The question of `What is the effect of culture of fear on Values Education?? forms the research?s problem sentence.In the research implemented programmes of Values Education with activities were studied ,and field research was made at documentary quality by using the method of literature review.The problems and sub-problems were semtinized within the scope of the data obtained from the resources. As a result of research the effect of the culture of fear was manifested on the effectiveness of Values Education programme applied in all schools that are connected to the Ministery of Education at the compulsory education level, and the conclusion was reached that culture of fear has direct, negative and corrosive effects on Values Education applications.
