Abstract (EN)

The rapid development of technology has increased the need to clean, reliable and continuous energy. Transformers are the prominent components of electrical energy at the stages of generation, transmission, distribution and consumption. It is desirable that the efficiency of transformers to be high as much as possible at various loading conditions. In this work, in order to obtain the maximum efficiency point of transformer at different loading conditions, Gravitational Search Algorithm (GSA), is used which is a novel optimization technique. GSA is an optimization algorithm based on Newton's motion and gravitation laws. Here, GSA method which is a modern method and classical method have been applied to transformers at various rated powers and structures and efficiency optimization has been done. From the results, it has been proved that GSA is an alternative method for transformer efficiency optimization.
