Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study was to screen and select most suitable vesicular-arbuscular mycorrhizae for enhancing citrus growth by improving plants phosphor and zinc uptake, and root infection. Study was carried out under greenhouse conditions in Department of Soil Science, Çukurova University, Adana Turkey. In the first experiment (Experiment 1,1997) five different mycorrhizal species were tested It has been found that G.Clarium in the best inoculum to increase plant growth and root colonisation and nutrient uptake. In the second experiment (Expent n,1998), the effect of different level of P and Zn application and mycorrhizal inculation on plant growth, nutrient uptake (P and Zn) and root colonisation were determined For evaluation of VAM's on citrus plant development, plant height, diameter, root length, percentage of mycorrhizal infection, leaf, root dry matter production along with uptake of P, N, Mn, Fe, Cu and Zn analyses were done. Results revealed that differences between two experiments were significant. G. clarium was most effective mycorhhizae inoculum on development of citrus plant rootstocks and uptake of nutrient In Experiment H, mycorrhizal inoculation significantly increased plant growth and P uptake but no significant effect on Zn uptake.Key Words: Mycorrhizae (G. clarium), Citrus.Phosphor and Zinc, Mycorhyzal Infection n
